Scouting Ireland's National Scout Centre Network

Discover Scouting Outdoors Across Ireland

Scouting Ireland’s National Scout Centres offer outdoor experiences across four unique locations: Larch Hill, Lough Dan, Castle Saunderson, and Killaloe.

Our centres provide accommodation, camping, and programmes that support youth development through adventure, teamwork, and a connection with nature — for Scout Groups, schools, and other youth organisations.

Explore the centres and discover the possibilities that await outdoors.

Larch Hill

Scouting Ireland’s flagship Scout Centre in the Dublin/Wicklow Mountains, offering extensive camping fields alongside indoor accommodation.

Ideal for camps, courses, and weekend adventures close to the city and the mountains.

Lough Dan

Nestled in the Wicklow Mountains beside Lough Dan, this Scout Centre offers a blend of outdoor adventure, environmental learning, and team-based activities, with camping and indoor accommodation in a stunning natural setting.

Castle Saunderson

Spanning 34 acres on the Cavan–Fermanagh border, and surrounded by forest trails and historic landmarks for year-round outdoor experiences, Castle Saunderson offers large-scale camping, modern indoor accommodation and an 8-metre indoor climbing wall!

Killaloe

Situated on the shores of Lough Derg in County Clare, Killaloe provides comfortable indoor accommodation in a peaceful lakeside setting, ideal for group stays and residential programmes.

From forest to lakeside, castle to mountain trail - Ireland’s National Scout Centres are where adventure begins, leaders grow, and memories last a lifetime.
