Who We Are
Operated by Scouting Ireland, the four National Scout Centres deliver exploration, learning, and adventure to young people and groups across Ireland and beyond.
As part of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, they connect local experiences to a global network of friendship, leadership, and learning.
Across four locations, we offer indoor accommodation, camping, and outdoor activities designed to build confidence and personal growth. Each centre has its own identity, hosting camps, international events, training, and first Scout experiences, while supporting youth leadership, environmental initiatives, and community collaboration. We also welcome schools, organisations, and visitors seeking meaningful outdoor experiences.
Everything we do is rooted in youth development, helping young people build confidence, resilience, teamwork, and a lasting appreciation for nature while making a positive impact.

Why Visit Our Centres?
Whether you are organising a Scout camp, school trip, training course, corporate retreat, or special event, our centres provide:
Our Locations
Our National Scout Centres are set in diverse and beautiful landscapes, each offering its own character while sharing the same spirit of adventure and community:
Larch Hill National Scout Centre: A historic woodland setting in the Dublin Mountains, offering accessible outdoor adventure close to the capital.
Castle Saunderson International Scout Centre: An internationally recognised campsite located on a scenic historic estate, hosting events and visitors from around the world.
Lough Dan Scout and Eco Centre: A spectacular lakeside environment focused on nature connection, sustainability, and immersive outdoor learning.
Killaloe Scout Centre: A picturesque lakeside hub for adventure in the heart of Ireland’s outdoor region.

Our National Scout Centres Community
Behind every experience is a passionate community of people. Our centres are supported by professional staff, activity instructors, volunteers, and international volunteers who bring enthusiasm, expertise, and dedication to their roles.
Young people are at the centre of this community, contributing ideas, developing leadership skills, and participating in projects and events that shape the future of the centres. This shared ownership creates a strong sense of belonging and pride among everyone involved.
For many, a visit to an NSC sparks a lasting passion for adventure, learning, and community that continues long after they leave. Be Part of It!
